The "Butox" preparation, the instruction that comes with the kit, characterizes it as an insect-acaricidal agent made on the basis of a synthetic type pyrethroid. This medicine is used in the field of veterinary medicine to combat various ectoparasites. This drug has a fairly large spectrum of action and is active against pathogenic microorganisms such as kosher, scabies, ixodid and chicken mites, bedbugs, flies, midges, fleas, lice and hairworms. At the same time, the use of the Butox insecticide-acaricide (the instructions for it confirms this) in the concentrations and doses recommended by the manufacturer does not have any allergenic or locally irritating effect. This antiparasitic drug is toxic to fish and bees and moderately toxic to warm-blooded animals.
Produced insect-acaricide "Butoks" (instructions are in each package) in the form of a light yellow oily liquid with aemulsifiable in water. The main component of this drug is deltamethrin. This 5% concentrate is packaged, as a rule, either in plastic flasks with a volume of one or five liters, or in metal canisters of twenty-five liters. At the same time, the instructions for use recommend using the antiparasitic drug "Butox" in the form of an emulsion diluted with water by bathing or spraying.
The working emulsion of this insect-acaricidal agent must be prepared immediately before application. For therapeutic purposes, animals are sprayed with the resulting composition twice with an interval of seven to ten days. As a prophylaxis, the drug "Butox" in ampoules, the instruction advises to use it once. During the season of tick parasitism, the manufacturer recommends using this insecticide-acaricidal emulsion only once a week. At the same time, this procedure should be carried out at the end of the daytime rest of the animals or before pasture to agricultural land.
Separately, it is necessary to say about the precautions when working with the antiparasitic drug "Butox". The instruction, for example, focuses on the inadmissibility of getting an insect-acaricidal emulsion into the nose, eyes or mouth of an animal. Also, do not use any shampoos for three days before and after the treatment. In addition, only freshly prepared solution is allowed to be used. And finally, after completing all the necessary procedures using insecticideacaricidal drug "Butox" should thoroughly wash your hands with a cleanser.
As for the main contraindications to the use of this antiparasitic concentrate, here, first of all, the hypersensitivity of the animal to deltamethrin should be highlighted.
