Dexketoprofen trometamol (the active ingredient in this drug) is a s alt of propionic acid. It is characterized by analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties. Belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs.

The mechanism of work is aimed at reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins as a result of inhibition of cyclooxygenase. That is, the conversion of arachidonic acid into endoperoxides PGG2 and PGH2 of a cyclic nature is slowed down. Of these, in turn, prostaglandins PGEi, PGE2, PGF2a, PGD2 are formed, including such a substance as prostacyclin PGI2, as well as thromboxanes TxAg and TxBr. Suppression of prostaglandin synthesis affects the impulses of the inflammatory process, for example, kinins, which affect the main functions of the drug. The inhibitory effect of dexketoprofen on the activity of cyclooxygenase-1, cyclooxygenase-2 was revealed.

Conducted clinical trials have established the analgesic effect of the drug with varying degrees of pain. Found its analgesic properties by injecting the solution inside. An analysis of the intensive effect on pain during the postoperative period was carried out. These are orthopedic and gynecological surgical procedures, as well as operations on the abdominal cavity. Used for varying degrees of pain in the spine, the drug "Caver". Instructions for use recommends injections for renal colic.

Studies have shown that the medicinal product acts instantly, and its maximum effectivenessmanifests itself for forty-five minutes. The analgesic effect on the body lasts about eight hours, but only on condition that at least 50 mg of the Kaver agent (injections) has been administered. Description, indications for the drug - all this is very important to study before using it.

With intramuscular injection of dexketoprofen trometamol, the highest concentration is observed after twenty minutes. It has a high degree of connection of blood plasma proteins - 99%. The distribution of dexketoprofen fluctuates around 0.25 l/kg. The half-life is 0.35 hours. Displayed after 1-2.7 hours.
