Unique nature
Agria is a small village. Usually there are few tourists here. But it is distinguished by its unique location. The village is surrounded on all sides by coniferous forests, so the air here is unusually clean. In addition, a breathtaking view of Cape Agria opens from here. Picturesque rocks overgrown with vegetation rise directly to the water.
History of the sanatorium
Earlier in this area, unique in its nature, there was a tuberculosis sanatorium "Agria" of federal subordination. In 1998, Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 600 “On Saving Public Expenditures” came into force. This jeopardized the continued existence of the institution. The fact is that the depreciation of the buildings of the sanatorium at that time was 100%, the facilities and engineering networks were in an extremely unsatisfactory condition. Sanatorium "Agriya" required a major overhaul. The further functioning of this resort institution wasimpossible. However, complete reconstruction and overhaul required a large amount of financial investments, which were not in the budget of the Russian Federation. As a result, it was decided that it was impossible to continue the functioning of the institution in this territory. In 1999, an order was signed to liquidate the sanatorium. All property of the institution, including infrastructure facilities and residential buildings, became the property of the Krasnodar Territory. Sanatorium "Agria" ceased to exist, and in its place was formed the village of the same name, which is currently a great place for a relaxing family holiday.
Climate
The settlement of the former Agria sanatorium is located in a milder climate zone. It is warm here throughout the year. Snow falls very rarely.
