Glue "BF" is a well-known external antiseptic used in medicine for disinfection and speedy healing of cuts, burns, cracks, scratches, abrasions and other minor skin injuries. The use of "BF" for medical purposes began in the middle of the last century. Since then, many have included it in their first aid kits and have successfully used it as a first aid.
Glue "BF" is not only bactericidal, but also an insulating agent that creates a protective film on the surface of the skin that is resistant to chemical and mechanical stress, which contributes to the connection of tissues without suturing. Apply "BF" (glue) to treat wounds in adults and children older than one year. Contraindication to the use of the drug is hypersensitivity.
In addition, the drug "BF" is used in dentistry to treat the roots of teeth in the surgical treatment of inflammatory processes.
Glue is a yellowish colorless liquid with a characteristic pungent odor. This is an alcohol solution of synthetic resin, rosin and polyvinyl butyral with the addition of a special substance that gives the drug elasticity.
Apply method
The damaged area of the skin is carefully cleaned of dirt, the blood is stopped with a gauze pad and dried. Then, an even thin layer, but sufficient to form a film, covers the abrasion site, capturing unaffected areas. Additional bandage is not required. After drying, the adhesive forms a protective elastic film, on which you can always apply another layer. Glue "BF" keeps on the surface of the skin for three to four days. After the wound has healed, its remnants are very easily removed.
Advantages and disadvantages

Promotes rapid healing of wounds without the use of bandages or bandages. The protective film that forms on the surface of the skin perfectly protects the damage site from dirt and water.
What are the disadvantages of "BF-6" glue? The use of glue is accompanied by a rather pungent odor and a strong burning sensation. The latter can be a problem when treating wounds in a child. In addition, the product can cause allergies. There are many cases when, after applying the glue, the skin began to swell, itching appeared. Some tend to classify the unaesthetic appearance of a treated abrasion as a disadvantage of glue, but this minus is rather doubtful, especially since a bandaged, for example, finger looks much more unattractive, and we are talking about only three or fourdays.
