STDs are contagious and transmitted mainly through sexual contact. Due to the fact that all of them can have rather serious consequences, while being asymptomatic, they are classified as especially dangerous pathologies.
How STDs appear
Since ancient times, the appearance of sexually transmitted diseases has been associated with a frivolous lifestyle. And, probably, that is why the presence of a sexual infection was hidden, which led to numerous victims.
Syphilis becomes contagious as soon as it is in the human body, and gonorrhea almost does not manifest itself, especially in women, so it is not always possible to determine whether your partner is sick "by eye"
So it remains only to be surprised at the carelessness with which many have sexual contact with unfamiliar, and sometimes even complete strangers. After all, it is clear that the sexual partner who so easily finds himself in your bed is rather frivolous about intimacy. Can you vouch for those with whom he spent his wild nights?
But alcohol,as a rule, taken before such an adventure, gives a person the feeling that everything is possible, everything is within the reach. True, sexual infections do not think so, and sexually transmitted diseases are not dormant. And the one who said: “Yes, I’m only once, but what’s wrong with that?” Brings the infection home. Keep in mind that in such a situation, even the children of the infected person are at risk!
First signs of sexually transmitted diseases
And despite the fact that any respectable person has a clear conviction that such a problem cannot touch him (because he believes those who are nearby at the moment), you need to know the "enemy" in person. So how do STDs manifest?
1. Syphilis
This infection is quite difficult to diagnose. Without special laboratory tests, no experienced doctor will diagnose you with syphilis based only on external examinations.
It only starts to appear 3 weeks after infection. The very first external sign is a reddish speck that appeared on the genitals. It grows and thickens, becoming like a pea. Soon the lymph nodes that are close to the site of infection also increase.
2. Gonorrhea
She has profuse discharge from the genitals and painful urination. In addition, the urge becomes frequent, and the amount of urine is small. Gonorrhea is sluggish and, if left untreated, leads to infertility in both men and women.
3. Soft chancre and lymphogranuloma
These sexually transmitted diseases appear as a purulent formation on the genitals. With soft chancre, this is a red spot with a vesicle filled with pus, and with lymphogranuloma, it is a purulent sore.
Common STD symptoms
There are also general signs that you have been infected. This is pain during urination, its increase, the appearance of secretions (they can be white, and greenish, and mucous), itching in the genitals, their redness. Often the discharge acquires an unpleasant odor. Infection may be accompanied by fever. Men develop pain in the scrotum, which eventually spreads to the sacrum and lumbar region.
What to do?
The list of sexually transmitted diseases is impressive, it already includes more than 20 types of infections. Maybe we should not treat this problem as something from the "other life"? Elementary methods of protection and maximum cleanliness in relationships will make you lucky, not knowing what venereal diseases are!
