This method of inserting teeth is suitable for people who for some reason are afraid of implantation. Some people experience allergic reactions. In addition, there is always a risk that the tooth will not take root. With bridge prosthetics, this option is completely excluded, since there is no need to implant a foreign body into the jawbone in order to insert a tooth. The price of this procedure can please lovers to save money. Its implementation will cost much less than implantation. However, there is also a significant downside. When installing a bridge crown, you will have to grind down adjacent teeth. Therefore, not everyone will like this option.
Removable dentures
Another alternative way to insert teeth is removable dentures. Many patients of dental clinics note the convenience of this method of prosthetics. Modern materials provide excellent performance of the mentioned tooth substitutes. Of course, there are some disadvantages as well. For example, serious wear of supporting teeth, atrophy of bone tissue and the impossibility of subsequent implantation. Here are examples of types of removable dentures:
- Clasp prostheses. They consist of a metal arc with crowns mounted on it. Due to the rigidity of the framework, patients sometimes complain of rubbing of the gums with the prosthesis.
