A chronic skin disease characterized by a rash of dotted small follicular nodules covered with yellow-gray scales is called seborrheic dermatitis in medicine. As a rule, lesions are localized on the back in the area of the shoulder blades, head and face (hairy part), along the spine, on the chest, eyebrows, in the nasolabial folds. This disease can be of varying severity: from small spots to extensive erythroderma. In autumn, dermatitis worsens, and in summer, with the onset of heat, there may be some improvement.
Signs
Symptoms of the disease are pronounced. Certain areas of the skin of patients with seborrheic dermatitis are covered with papulo-squamous inflamed rashes that cause itching. Usually they are red in color and covered with scales, consisting of dry epidermis. As the spots grow, they may coalesce. The harbingers of this disease are dandruff and seborrhea. In a person with seborrheic dermatitis, hair begins to fall out over time. However, during the period of remission, their normal number is restored. Quite often, foci of peeling occur behind the ears. If left untreated, they turn into cracks, covered with a crust and prone to bleeding. With this disease, the skin on the head is very flaky, a fairly dense coating of scales forms on it. They can peel off one at a time or in large layers at once. At the same time, severe itching is felt. On the skin of the face, rashes can form in the area of \u200b\u200bthe eyebrows, on the nasolabial folds. If untreated, the disease can develop into eczema, and then numerous complications can develop.
Folk treatment of seborrheic dermatitis
Sage
A tablespoon of leaves pour 370 ml of boiling water, boil and cook a little over low heat. Then strain the infusion and add half a spoon of honey. Warm decoction is recommended to make lotions three times a day.
Oak bark
Infusion is best brewed in a thermos. It is prepared at the rate of one part of oak bark powder to five parts of water. After the remedy is infused, add a spoonful of honey (per 250 mldecoction). The resulting liquid should be rubbed three times a week into the hair roots. After forty minutes, the product must be washed off with water.
Nettle
With this remedy, you can perfectly relieve the itching, inflammation caused by seborrheic dermatitis. Brew nettles at the rate of 100 g per liter of water. Wipe the affected areas with a solution, rinse your head and take 100 ml three times a day.
St. John's wort
The herb has a healing and anti-inflammatory effect. Brew two tablespoons of chopped St. John's wort with a liter of boiling water. Infusion can be used to wipe the inflamed areas and take it orally half a glass four times a day.
