Staphylococcus itself is a dangerous bacterium for the body. In some way, it gets to a person and begins its harmful activity: it causes unpleasant diseases. The biggest danger of this bacterium is that it can harm almost any organ.
Of course, first of all, you should protect yourself from staphylococcus aureus, but if you failed to protect yourself, you need to know what medicines for control and prevention exist. It is one of these drugs that will be discussed in this article.
"Staphylococcal antiphagin" - a drug belonging to the group of antimicrobial action. It is a toxin neutralized by formalin and heat, purified from ballast proteins (soluble thermostable Staphylococcus antigens). The drug does not contain preservatives and antibiotics. With the correct injection (according to the scheme), a vaccinated person develops specific antimicrobial immunity to staphylococcal exotoxin(active immunization), which prevents re-infection and reduces the duration of treatment. To do this, it is advised to use "Staphylococcal Antifagin" (instructions for use are given below).

Method and dose of application
The vaccine "Staphylococcal antiphagin"do in the shoulder area or under the shoulder blade. Once every 24 hours (immediately after opening the ampoule), the next injection is administered 20-30 mm lower than the previous one. There is a possibility of alternation of hands and subscapular region. Intramuscular administration of the drug is not allowed. Scheme of administration for children from 7 years old and adults: on the first day - 0.2 ml; on the second - 0.3 ml; in the third - 0.4 ml, and then with an increase of 0.1 ml every day. The course of procedures ends on the 9th day at a dose of 1 ml.
For children 6 months to 7 years of age, start at 0.1 ml and increase by 0.1 ml each day until reaching 0.9 ml.
With a good clinical effect, the course of treatment, at the discretion of the attending physician, can be reduced to 5 injections.
If there is no possibility of daily vaccination, then you can do it every other day, but with an increase in the dose by 0.2 ml.
In severe, frequently recurring diseases of the skin, a second course is prescribed with an interval of 10-15 days. The schedule for administering the vaccine will be exactly the same.
With local and general reactions to the vaccine, treatment is continued after it disappears at the site of the previous injection. Those who have been treated with staphylococcal antiphagin are satisfied with the results.
Side effects and overdose
It is strictly forbidden to use an ampoule with broken integrity, without a name and release date, in the presence of turbidity or sediment, in violation of the storage temperature and expiration date! Such violations of the ampoule or liquid can causecomplications and other issues. You should be especially careful about the above parameters, and use only ampoules that fit this description.
When the vaccine is administered, a local reaction may occur: redness (hyperemia) of the skin area at the injection site of "Staphylococcal antiphagin", mild soreness in the injection area, which disappears on its own after 1-2 days. Sometimes an increase in the inflammatory process in the area of the lesion (after the second injection). These reactions are not a contraindication for continuing treatment for staphylococcal infections.
The general reaction of the body may be accompanied by hyperthermia (an increase in body temperature up to 38 degrees), local induration (infiltration) up to 20mm or severe pain in the injection area, mild weakness and malaise.
However, in the presence of both local and general reactions, it is recommended to increase the interval between the previous and subsequent injections of the drug "Staphylococcal antiphagin" by one day or reduce the dosage.
If other types of reactions to the vaccine are detected or the local and general reactions of the body are aggravated, it is necessary to inform the attending physician of this fact for further decision-making.
In isolated cases, there may be an increase in body temperature above 38 degrees, the most severe pain in the injection area and the formation of large accumulations of lymph and blood under the skin with a diameter of more than 20 mm.
To protect yourself from unwanted consequences, you need to familiarize yourself with the contraindications andconsult with your he althcare professional prior to administering the vaccine.
