Indications for use

Contraindications

Application
The drug can be used in three ways (externally, internally, rectally). At the first stage of treatment, adults are prescribed 25 mg of indomethacin about 2-3 times a day. The medicine should be taken after meals with milk. If at this dosage the drug is noteffective, the dosage is increased. The medicine should continue to be drunk 2-3 times a day, but the daily rate in this case is 150 mg. It should be borne in mind that the maximum daily dose of the drug is 200 mg. After the desired effect is achieved, the amount of medication should be gradually reduced. The course of treatment is 30 days. If therapy has a long duration, the maximum dose of the drug per day is 75 mg.
Rectally, the drug should be used at bedtime, after a complete cleansing of the intestines. Ointment or gel is applied only externally, 2-4 times a day. Overdose
Overdose of the drug "Metindol-retard" is manifested by nausea, vomiting, severe headache or dizziness, memory may be disturbed and disorientation in time can be observed. In a particularly severe case, paresthesias, convulsions, and numbness of the extremities may occur. In case of an overdose, immediate elimination of the drug from the body is required.
