How it all started
The village was founded in 1825. It served as a sanitary checkpoint and was called Quarantine. Of course, the glory of the great commander also reached these places. By the way, he was not far from here - in a military camp located a few kilometers from the settlement. The Cossacks living in this village expressed a desire to name it in honor of the Generalissimo, about which they wrote a letter to the Emperor. They wrote that the barrow of the same name was located nearby and asked to give their village the name Suvorovskaya. The emperor granted their request. Despite the big name, the village did not stand out among the others, until in the middle of the 20th century thermal springs were discovered on its territory, the water from which rises to the surface of the earthfrom a depth of several kilometers.
Modern life
Now about 18,000 people live in the village. The population is mainly engaged in agriculture. There are 6 schools, 3 kindergartens, a cultural center, a hospital, shops, an Orthodox Church named after the holy martyrs Faith, Hope, Love. She was consecrated in 1993. Several chapels were also built in the village: the Nativity of Christ, St. Thomas, St. Panteleimon, as well as the Assumption of the Mother of God. Local attractions include a monument, a bust of Lenin, opened in 1970, a mass grave of soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War, and the grave of the chairman of the district executive committee, who was killed by whites. Life here became more diverse and interesting when thermal springs were discovered. People began to flock here not only from our country, but also from near and far abroad.
