This disease, which is one of the most common acquired heart defects. Most often, this pathology is diagnosed in people over 65 years of age. The disease occurs as a result of a narrowing of the outlet of the heart muscle, through which blood flows from the left ventricle to the aorta. The causes of stenosis are as follows: age-related anatomical changes, heredity, rheumatic process, smoking, arterial hypertension, high cholesterol. As a rule, patients suffering from this disease complain of chest pain, shortness of breath. It is difficult for them to perform any physical activity.
