Margelon's disease is a rather rare and currently not fully understood disease, the causes of which remain unknown. A sign of this problem is severe skin damage, as well as some disorders of the nervous system, including prolonged depression.

Margelon's disease and its causes

In fact, the world first heard about such a disease not so long ago - in 2002. It was then that Mary Leitao's family fell ill and suggested the name. Unfortunately, the causes of the disease are still unknown. There are many different opinions among scientists. Some researchers believe that Margelon's disease is caused by fungal parasites that grow slowly under the skin. Others argue that the disease may be the result of a bacterial or viral infection of unknown origin.

There are also researchers who are inclined to psychosomatic reasons, because the tests of patients are completely normal - no signs of infection were found in the body. At present, it has become very popular idea that suchthe disease is caused by the consumption of genetically modified foods.

In any case, none of the above points of view have yet been scientifically confirmed. Therefore, researchers around the world are trying to determine the cause of the disease and find out if it even exists.

The only thing that can be said with certainty is the fact that the disease affects people with weak immune systems.

Margelon's disease: main symptoms

skin itches
skin itches

As already mentioned, the main signs of the disease are damage to the skin - the skin itches, redness appears on it, and then pustules and small sores. All these symptoms are difficult to treat, and after some time they return again. Patients complain of constant itching, pain and a feeling of something moving under the skin.

Margelon's disease is accompanied by mental disorders. As a rule, patients fall into prolonged depression, become passive and lethargic. Many of them suffer from constant hallucinations associated with itching (they think that insects crawl on the skin, etc.).

Margelon disease and its treatment

Because the exact causes of the disease are unknown, there is no single correct cure. At the moment, patients are prescribed antifungal and antiviral agents, sometimes also antibiotics. Anti-inflammatory and antiseptic ointments help eliminate itching, relieve inflammation, stop the formation of pustules, and also get rid of sores. Unfortunately, all of the abovemethods do not give any guarantee - the symptoms can return again, and at any time.

Margelon's scabies: prevention

The lack of necessary knowledge about this disease does not allow doctors and researchers to draw up prevention rules. To date, the only way to protect is a he althy lifestyle. Proper nutrition, hardening, fresh air, regular exercise, normal sleep - all this normalizes the immune system and partly protects the human body from this unknown disease.
