Moreover, many people prefer to purchase their own “home” device in order to carry out this exciting process right in their kitchen or in the yard, having gathered with friends. It seemed that there is nothing easier: bought, filled and started smoking. But every business has its subtleties. One of them is the right gas station for hookahs. Refill for hookahs: what is meant by this term? First of all, tobacco, soaked and prepared in a special way. Sometimes - smoking mixtures. Sometimes - a fruit mixture without tobacco. In general, this is a fairly broad generalizing concept. Of course, gas station can be purchased in stores - fortunately today this is not a problem in any major city. But a good hookah dressing can be madeon your own, it's not hard at all. This cooking process can be compared to moonshine or home winemaking: just as exciting. Well, shall we try?
Hookah dressing do-it-yourself: ingredients
We will need: tobacco (this can be a large pipe, or shag in extreme cases, or special tobacco for hookahs), glycerin, which will serve as a moisturizer and softener (we buy it at a pharmacy), molasses or honey (however, remember that when the temperature rises, honey can melt and gradually clog the mine), essential oils (we also buy at the pharmacy). Regarding the last ingredient: it must be natural products. The choice is yours: mint + lemon, apple + melon, for example. Tip: If you have already bought flavored tobacco, choose an oil that matches the taste of the flavor.
How to make hookah dressing
- Pour a couple of pinches of strong tobacco in a small container with boiling water and put it on a strainer: this procedure reduces the strength.
- Then the tobacco needs to be dried a little in the oven (no more than 20-30 minutes at temperatures up to 90 degrees - so that it does not start to char).
- One more pinch of strong tobacco (not treated with boiling water) is mixed with the dried part.
- Add pharmacy glycerin: for 50 grams of tobacco 2 small bubbles (calculation 1/1).
- Add 5-10 drops of essential oil of your choice (or more).
- Take the molasses and pour it into the mixture so that it turns out to be thick in consistencyjam.
- We shift the mixture into a container, cork and send to infuse for a week.
- This homemade hookah dressing can be used for smoking in about seven days. First, we recommend squeezing it out on a napkin.
And if without tobacco?
Of course, the concept of "seasoning for hookahs" means, first of all, tobacco prepared in a special way: soaked in flavorings and pressed (this is done in order to reduce the level of tar and nicotine, other harmful substances). Sometimes molasses, glycerin, and fruit mixtures are added to it, giving an optimal and original taste. But we should not forget that there are also special gas stations - without tobacco, especially for non-smokers (more precisely, for those who decide not to use nicotine, but still feel the desire to smoke).
"Tobacco-free" mixture can consist of 100% fruits and berries soaked in glycerin, contain honey, syrup, corn pulp, mint leaves, herbs. Such a gas station for hookahs completely replaces tobacco, and we replace harmful nicotine smoke with safe fruit vapor, which in a sense can even be considered beneficial for the human body. It has a positive effect on the vocal cords, warming up the throat. Getting into the lungs, thick steam cleanses them of pathogens and bacteria. To do this, you need to learn how to purely technically correctly fill the device for smoking. By the way, refilling a hookah actually consists of two stages: adding tobacco and pouring the liquid through which the smoke passes.
Putting tobacco
Before packing tobacco, it is advised to wring it out a little, as it is sometimes too wet. This can be done with a regular paper napkin and hands. However, it is not necessary to squeeze strongly, so as not to impoverish the taste of tobacco. Before laying in chilim, you also need to loosen it with special tweezers. The mixture should not dangle too freely, but also tightly - it’s not good either (with a strong tamping of tobacco, the hookah can stretch badly). It should not be put with a slide - one spoon is quite enough. If there is absolutely no free space left in the chilim or there is very little of it, this is wrong. The coals will be too close to the aromatic mixture. On black pure tobacco used as a dressing, coals can be placedabove. But before use, it should also be soaked, otherwise it will seem too strong when puffed. After laying the dressing in the chilim, it must be pierced several times with a knitting needle or a large needle. After that, we already lay out the cooked coal, pre-heated, on the foil.
Refilling liquid
An important point is the choice of liquid for smoking hookah. Some prefer to use ordinary ice water. Some are milk or wine, even diluted cognac. Here everyone is free to choose what he likes. Pour the liquid into the flask so that it hides the tube up to 3-4 centimeters. And the pipe itself is recommended to be put in the freezer before smoking so that it is properly cooled.
