"Kandibiotic" is a medical product used in ENT practice. In addition to a pronounced anti-infectious effect, it has an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect and is one of the leaders among drugs that treat ear diseases. A balanced combination of multidirectional components is what makes the Candibiotic preparation unique. It is extremely difficult to find an analogue of this remedy, since none of them has such a complex versatile action.

Composition and release form

The composition of the "Candibiotic" includes various components with a specific mechanism of action, such as:

  • Beclomethasone dipropionate - a substance of the glucocorticoid series;
  • antibiotic chloramphenicol - disrupts protein synthesis in a bacterial cell and leads to itsdestruction: its broad spectrum of action, includes all known pathogens of acute otitis media and external ear, is effective against both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria;
  • clotrimazole is a fungicidal substance capable of disrupting the synthesis of one of the main components of the fungal cell membrane, changing its permeability and leading to lysis (destruction);
  • lidocaine is an anesthetic that blocks the transmission of nerve impulses in the cell, thereby relieving pain.

In addition, the composition contains auxiliary compounds glycerol and propylene glycol, which enhance the effectiveness of the main active ingredients. They provide high efficiency of the drug "Candibiotic". There is no analogue with the same composition on the market of pharmacological agents.

The drug "Candibiotic" is a liquid of light yellow color. Placed in a dark glass bottle of 5 ml, packed in a cardboard box with attached instructions. Dosing is carried out with a special pipette stopper, which is also included in the kit. "Kandibiotic" is released from pharmacies only with a prescription from a doctor. Self-medication is strictly unacceptable.

What are the features and benefits of Candibiotic?

The difference between "Kandibiotic" and other ENT products is the simultaneous combination of antibacterial, fungicidal and pain-relieving components. This is especially true in case of acute inflammatory processes of the organ of hearing, when it is necessaryimmediate relief of unpleasant symptoms.

The strongest antimicrobial effect is due to the combination of two components: clotrimazole and chloramphenicol. It is aimed at fighting not only bacteria and microscopic fungi, but also many protozoa. The presence of beclomethasone provides a powerful anti-inflammatory effect, relieves swelling, and eliminates allergic manifestations. These properties testify to the versatility of the Candibiotic drug (an analogue with exactly the same composition is not produced), which can replace several drugs at once.

"Kandibiotic" is a complex tool. It is a mixture of corticosteroids, antibacterial, fungicidal and anti-allergic components, which replaces a number of drugs. Synonymous drugs with this composition are not available. An alternative may be the appointment of several drugs with different spectrum of action and performing a specific function. These may include:

Ear drops "Droplex" - combine in its composition phenazol (anti-inflammatory) and lidocaine (pain reliever), mutually reinforcing each other's action. In acute otitis media, the main task of this remedy is to relieve pain.

Drops "Thuya C1" - a popular homeopathic remedy used in acute otitis media. It is based on the Thuja C1 component of the same name, dissolved in ethyl alcohol. The action of the drops is strictly individual, depending on the age of the patient and comorbidities.

Sometimes, with acute otitis media, "Farmazolin" can be prescribed in the ear. This drug has a completely different mechanism of action. It causes a sharp vasoconstriction, thanks to which there is a rapid (literally in 5-10 minutes) removal of inflammation.

"Kandibiotic": analogues are cheap and effective

However, there are other drugs for the treatment of inflammation of the hearing organs, which can replace Candibiotic. The analogue willcompletely different in composition, but perform the same function. For example:

  • "Otipax" contains phenazone and lidocaine hydrochloride, relieves pain and inflammation in otitis media (acute and complicated).
  • "Otirelax" has a similar composition and acts similarly.
  • "Otinum" - ear drops based on choline salicylate, eliminates inflammation and pain, dissolves sulfur plugs.
  • "Normax" with norfloxacin is a strong antimicrobial agent.
  • "Sofradex" - a complex drug (gramicidin C, dexamethasone, framycetin) to relieve irritation, disinfection, eliminate allergies.
  • Fugentin is a drug based on gentamicin and fusidic acid, a combination of an antibiotic and an antimicrobial agent.

We should not forget that when buying a drug, you should not always be guided by a low price. In some cases, cheapness is achieved at the expense of quality. Therefore, when choosing medicines, it is better to adhere to a rational approach.
