Leo was born in the winter, December 22, 1939, in the wonderful Abkhazian town of Ochamchira. The decision that he would become a cardiac surgeon came in his youth, when he had to choose his future profession. Leo has always strived to be in the center of events, his creed says that if you do something, then do the most important thing. According to this principle, the whole life of Leo Bokeria is built. The nationality of the surgeon only helped him and added energy and strength. He is considered one of the most prominent Georgians of our time.
Having decided that he would go to medical school, Leo no longer doubtedto become a cardiac surgeon. After all, what could be more important in the body than the work of the heart muscles?
