Complex vitamin preparation "Aevit" is prescribed in cases of lack of its main components in the body. Despite the rather harmless name, it refers to medicines, and therefore it should be taken only on the recommendation of a specialist. The composition of the drug includes 2 important fat-soluble vitamins (A and E). The first of them is essential for the normal functioning of the visual system. In addition, vitamin A has a positive effect on the condition of the skin and helps to eliminate toxins.
The second component of the drug - alpha-tocopherol acetate - is a powerful antioxidant. Under its influence, capillary circulation and many other processes in the body are normalized. It is better known as vitamin E. Of course, both components of the drug are present in certain foods. A person receives them by eating nuts, vegetable oil, fish, vegetables and fruits. However, there are situations when they are not absorbed by the body.or are supplied in insufficient quantities. In both cases, the drug "Aevit" comes to the rescue, for which it is prescribed either orally or even intramuscularly as injections. First of all, this applies to those suffering from psoriasis, lupus erythematosus and some other dermatological ailments. In addition, it helps to eliminate some vision problems. In ophthalmology, A and E are the main vitamins necessary for the normal functioning of the optic nerve and blood vessels. Unfortunately, this activity is quite troublesome, so it is better to use the drug for intramuscular use (sold in liquid form in ampoules).
Side effects and contraindications
In most cases, with the correct appointment and use of the drug "Aevit" does not cause problems. However, there is its individual intolerance, allergic reactions and overdoses. The latter, as a rule, are expressed in gastrointestinal disorders, headache, increased blood pressure and drowsiness. It must also be remembered that "Aevit" is strictly contraindicated during pregnancy (although it is sometimes prescribed at the planning stage) and for children under 18 years of age. And patients who have had a myocardial infarction or suffering from serious cardiovascular diseases should take it with extreme caution.
