Instructions for use
"Sinaflan Akrikhin" is suitable only for external use, the medication is prescribed for adult patients and children over twoyears.
The duration of therapy and the frequency of use is determined by a medical specialist purely individually for each patient, depending on the age and severity of the disease.
According to the instructions for use, Sinaflan ointment for children and adults should be applied in a thin layer on dry skin two to four times a day. The duration of therapy, as a rule, is from five to seven days, if during this period the person's condition does not improve, then you should contact a medical specialist to adjust the treatment and clarify the diagnosis.
In case of severe damage to the surface of the skin in certain places, you can apply a gauze bandage, which must be changed twice a day. Such a bandage is allowed only for adult patients, since prolonged contact of the ointment with the skin of a child in most cases leads to systemic adverse reactions.
Can the ointment be applied during pregnancy?
"Sinaflan" is not recommended for use by women in an "interesting position", since the active trace elements enter the bloodstream and penetrate the placenta into the fetus. Information on the safety of the drug's effect on the body of the expectant mother and fetus is not presented, therefore, in order to avoid complications, the drug should not be used.
During lactation, women should not use Sinaflan, as the active substances are absorbed into the blood and maysmall amount excreted in milk. If medication is needed, breastfeeding should be stopped.
Adverse reactions
When prescribed dosages and instructions are followed correctly, negative effects usually do not occur. Hypersensitivity may experience the following side effects:
- Irritation at the site of application.
- The occurrence of acne and pustules at the site of application of the ointment.
- Alopecia (a disease characterized by hair loss on the head and a violation of the growth of new hair).

- Hypertrichosis (is a disease that manifests itself in excessive hair growth in certain places uncharacteristic for such an area of the skin: above the lips, on the abdomen, chest, arms, back and chin).
With prolonged application of the ointment on large surfaces, the patient develops general clinical signs that are associated with the action of glucocorticoids on the body, for example:
- Gastritis (a long-term disease characterized by dystrophic-inflammatory changes in the gastric mucosa).
- Formation of ulcers on the mucous membranes of the digestive tract.
- Itsenko-Cushing's syndrome (a neuroendocrine disease characterized by increased production of adrenal hormones).
- Adrenal insufficiency.
- Steroid diabetes mellitus (is a severe insulin-dependent form of diabetes).
Overdose
According to the instructions for use for Sinaflan, it is known that with prolonged use of the ointment on large areas of the body, general clinical symptoms of poisoning occur:
- lesions in the functioning of the thyroid gland;
- excessive body hair;
- adrenal insufficiency.
If such signs develop, it is necessary to stop therapy and consult a medical specialist. Usually no specialized treatment is required, all negative symptoms resolve on their own.
Interaction with other drugs
The drug is not recommended for people to prescribe together with glucocorticosteroids, since such an interaction increases the likelihood of side effects and signs of poisoning.
In severe skin diseases, the drug must be combined with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory drugs.
Features
When applying the ointment, avoid applying the medication to the face. After using the medicine, wash your hands well with soap and water to avoid getting the cream on the mucous membranes of the eye. If this happens, then the organs of vision should be rinsed with plenty of water and consult an ophthalmologist.
"Sinaflan" is not recommended to distribute in a thick layer and over large areasskin surface. If against the background of the use of the drug the patient does not have positive dynamics, then you should contact a medical specialist.
It is not recommended to apply ointment to children under two years of age, since there is no information regarding the safety of the medication (this is confirmed by the instructions for use). According to reviews, Sinaflan ointment is advised to be mixed with baby cream, thereby the likelihood of a negative reaction and poisoning is reduced to zero.
If the patient has atrophic changes on the surface of the skin, then the drug can be used only after the approval of the doctor and under his supervision.
Therapy should not be stopped suddenly, as this may lead to an exacerbation of the clinical signs of the disease. The concentration of the drug decreases gradually, this is confirmed by reviews and instructions for use.
"Sinaflan": analogues
The ointment has a number of substitute preparations, for example:
- "Flucinar".
- "Beloderm".
- "Flunolon".
- "Akriderm".
- Elokom.
All these drugs have certain side effects and limitations, so you should consult a doctor before changing the ointment with one of the generics.
Flucinar
The drug is available as an ointment and gel. "Flucinar" is included in the therapeutic group of glucocorticosteroids for local external use. They are used for therapyinflammation of the skin surface of non-infectious etiology.
The main substance affects the immune system. It eliminates the migration of neutrophils to the source of the inflammatory process, adversely affects a number of strains, inhibiting their activity by reducing the content of biological compounds of damage mediators.
And also a similar compound normalizes mast cell membranes, due to which the release of histamine, which is responsible for the appearance of allergies, is greatly reduced. The active trace element is considered a derivative of glucocorticosteroids. Due to these positive effects, Flucinar has a strong anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect. The cost of the drug varies from 200 to 300 rubles.
Beloderm
The drug belongs to glucocorticosteroids, which are designed to eliminate various inflammations of the skin.
The drug is produced in the form of ointment and cream, sold in aluminum tubes of fifteen and thirty grams. The active ingredient is betamethasone.
The drug has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic, antipruritic effects. In addition, it has vasoconstrictive, antiexudative properties.
When applying the ointment on the surface of the skin, the active ingredient inhibits the formation and excretion of histamine and lysosomal substances that are involved in the occurrence of inflammation and allergies.
When applied to the skin "Beloderm"has an instant pronounced effect in the focus of the inflammatory process. The cost of the drug is 150 rubles.
Acriderm
Combined product for external use, which has an anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect. "Akriderm" is produced in the form of a cream and ointment for external application, the drug is released in aluminum tubes of fifteen and thirty grams. One gram of the drug contains 645 micrograms of betamethasone dipropionate.
"Akriderm" has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, anti-allergic, vasoconstrictive and anti-exudative action. The drug reduces the rate of leukocytes in the body, and also inhibits the release of pro-inflammatory and lysosomal strains at the source of inflammation, inhibits phagocytosis, reduces vascular tissue permeability, and eliminates the formation of edema.
When applied to the skin, the drug instantly and intensely acts on the source of inflammation, reducing the severity of subjective and objective signs.
When the active substance is applied at the recommended dosages, its transdermal absorption into plasma is very low. The use of gauze dressings in diseases of the skin helps to increase the intensity of absorption of the main trace element, which can cause systemic negative effects. The cost of the drug varies from 90 to 700 rubles.
