Mine is the upper part, without which no hookah can do. The device is as follows: a shaft is a tube in which smoke is cooled, and impurities settle along its walls.
The most important characteristics of a shaft are length, material and diameter. Usually the length is approximately 50-100 cm, and the diameter is 10-15 mm. Mines are made of metal, much less often - of wood, stone and clay. The strength and durability depend on the material. The classic version is stainless steel.
There are several types of mines:
- one-piece - made entirely of fusible metal, bulky, but easy to use;
- collapsible - consists of several parts connected by thread, usually not used in high-quality hookahs;
- composite - a tube on which all decor elements are put on, hollow inside, therefore easier than a solid one.
Bowl
In choosing a good hookah bowl, its shape plays a significant role, as well as the volume and material from which it is made.
- Ceramics. A low-quality option, usually sold with Chinese hookahs, when smoking, it gets very hot, burning tobacco.
- Clay. Classic inexpensive option. It has good thermal conductivity, thanks to which it warms evenlytobacco.
- Silicone. The material is heat resistant. Tobacco heating is uniform, does not require the use of seals. It is impossible to break such a bowl, which, of course, is also its plus.
- Metal. There is an opinion that tobacco burns faster in metal. However, you can find bowls made of this material.
It is necessary to remember when buying a hookah - the device of the bowl can be different. On the market you can find a variant of any shape and volume. There are shallow, deep and classic bowls. You will have to buy a good bowl separately, as hookahs usually come with low-quality ceramic options.
Tube
Also included in the hookah device. The scheme is as follows: the pipe is inserted into a special port, when smoking, cooled and filtered smoke comes from it. Equipped with a mouthpiece - a tip that is made mainly of wood or plastic.
Characterized by diameter and material. There are hoses with a frame made of metal and plastic. Increasingly popular are silicone tubes - a good, durable option that hardly absorbs flavors. One of the disadvantages is that such hoses are not flexible, and their prices are much higher.
Optional accessories
The following are additional parts that smoking is possible without, but they simplify the process several times.
- Kalaud. Round product made of aluminum, an excellent replacement for foil. Coals are placed inside, covered with a lid withadjustable slits.
- Cap. They cover the cup to keep warm and prolong the smoking process.
- Tongs. Used to hold hot coals.
