And this is fully justified, since the shape and properties of these most interesting specimens are very different. Soleros - a herb from the Amaranth family

This annual herbaceous plant is often referred to as s altwort. And this is wrong. Despite the fact that these plants belong to the same family, they are still polarly different: the s altwort shrub has nothing to do with s alteros grass. In this succulent, shoots and branches are cylindrical joints - straight, branched and bare. The leaves of the plant are undeveloped, and the flowers are collected in spike-shaped inflorescences on short legs. The peak of flowering occurs in July-August. Fruits ripening by November are oval or egg-shaped.

Green initially, saline eventually acquires a red-purple color of the joints. The plant is distributed in the Central Asian and European territories of Russia, in the Siberian regions, in the Far East and the Caucasus. Soleros is a grass that feels comfortable on the most seemingly unsuitable lands for successful growth - damp s alt marshes, sea coasts and around s alt-bearing lakes. This succulent is also found in the foothills. It is able to survive in mountains up to 4 meters above sea level.

Plant composition

Soleros grass, which has an enviable endurance, has long been used in folk medicine. It contains alkaloids, flavonoids, anthocyanins, tannins and many other valuable substances and compounds that give the plant high beneficial properties known in many countries of the world. Shoots and flowers are used as medicinal raw materials.

Soleros is a herb with a wide range of uses

Articular shoots of the plant have a diaphoretic, laxative, anti-inflammatory effect. Their use qualitatively improves digestion, inhibits the growth of tumors. Decoctions of dried stems are prescribed as a diuretic and antiscorbutic. Since ancient times, soda and potash have been extracted from this plant. The northern peoples of Russia traditionally use herbal parts to make vodka tincture, an effective anti-inflammatory and analgesic for arthritis, rheumatism and gout.

Soleros, or rather its aerial parts, is a food plant. Fresh stems are added to salads. They are seasoned with hot and cold soups. When and how is soleros harvested?

The herb reaches its greatest healing power during flowering: in July-August. It was then that it was harvested, cutting off the stems almost at the base. Dry in ventilated rooms protected from bright sunlight, spreading out in a layer of 2-3 cm. Dried grass is stored in glass containers or fabric bags.

Recipes for remedies

It has long been noticed that soleros is very useful. The herb, which is very effective for joints, is used in many recipes. Drugs made from it significantly alleviate the painful manifestations that accompany diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

For example, fresh herb vodka. She is easy to prepare. 100 g of crushed fresh raw materials are placed in glassware, poured with half a liter of vodka or alcohol diluted to a similar concentration, shaken and hermetically sealed. The mixture is infused for 6-7 days in a dark room at an air temperature of 20-25˚С, then filtered. Use tincture for intensive rubbing of limbs with gout, rheumatism, arthrosis and arthritis.

Soleros is a herb, decoctions of which significantly improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, interacting with drugs, and alleviate the condition in acute and chronic diseases of the kidneys and genitourinary system. It is recommended to prepare the decoction in an enamel bowl. They do it this way: one teaspoon of chopped dry grass is poured into a glass of hot water, covered with a lid and kept in a water bath for a quarter of an hour. Then the broth is cooled to room temperature and filtered. Store in the refrigerator for no more than 48 hours. Take this remedy two tablespoons three times a day one hour before meals.

Note that the healing properties of the plant are very high. But the human body is individual, therefore, a consultation with a medical specialist is necessary before starting treatment with drugs based on the herb soleros (tincture or decoction).
