The sulfur present in the composition of the ointment, when interacting with many organic elements, forms compounds that have an antifungal and antiparasitic effect. The ointment contains Naftalan oil, which, when interacting with the skin, has a disinfectant, analgesic, softening and resolving effect. In addition, Wilkinson's ointment contains calcium carbonate, green soap, petroleum jelly and purified water. In appearance, the medicine is a homogeneous mass, having a dark brown color and a tar smell.
Indications for use
The drug is prescribed fortreatment of scabies, eczema, bedsores, trophic ulcers and wounds. In combination with other drugs, the remedy effectively copes with dermatomycosis, as well as skin lesions of a fungal or parasitic origin.
Contraindications
The ointment should not be used for acute eczema, chronic kidney failure, or hypersensitivity.

The dosage form of the drug involves external use. The medicine is applied twice a day to the affected skin. The duration of therapy is at least 10 days. With various pathologies, the duration of treatment may vary. With trichophytosis, Wilkinson's ointment is recommended to be applied within a three-week period. With scabies lesions, the medicine is rubbed into the skin throughout the body (except for the scalp and face) for three days. After preliminary cleansing of the skin, the agent is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas with a cotton swab or brush. At the same time, it is required to rub the medicine every day for the first three days, and then two days later until the onset of recovery.
Side effects
