Vladimir Georgievich Zhdanov is known as a promoter of a sober lifestyle and a teacher of a non-medical method of getting rid of bad habits. To the latter, in addition to drinking alcohol and smoking, Vladimir Georgievich also includes the habit of wearing glasses. According to Professor Zhdanov, the restoration of vision with myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, strabismus, the initial stages of glaucoma and clouding of the lens depends solely on our desire to work on the problemTheory: Helmholtz and Bates
Recovery of visual impairment became possible thanks to the American ophthalmologist William G. Bates.
It was he who first drew the attention of the medical community to the discrepancy between practical facts and the official theory of vision according to Helmholtz, developed his own methodology and received the first positive results after conducting classes with his patients, and then with children in schools.
Bates associates refractive errors with tension or weakening of six muscles of the eyeball, andnot with lens and ciliary muscle.
It is the theory of Bates that Zhdanov uses in his classes. Restoration of vision Vladimir Georgievich experienced on his own experience, when in Cherepovets he got to the courses of Igor Nikolaevich Afonin. Later, I. N. Afonin and V. Travinka published the book “How beautiful this world is, look” about the Shichko-Bates method.
Having supplemented this technique, V. G. Zhdanov today spread it around the world, conducting courses of lectures and classes and involving numerous associates and teachers in this matter. Vladimir Georgievich constantly emphasizes that his methodology is not medical, but pedagogical. The purpose of the classes is to teach people the right habits of vision and exercises aimed at restoring it.
Why official medicine does not practice the Bates method
As Professor Zhdanov says in his lectures, the restoration of vision is unprofitable for modern medicine. Corporate revenues from the sale of glasses, contact lenses, eye care products, eye surgeries related to refractive visual impairment and the like amount to about $ 50 billion. The second reason is the inertness of domestic medicine. The main works of W. Bates were published in 1912–1921, and in medical schools the Helmholtz theory is still considered the only true one, and future ophthalmologists are trained on its basis.
And the last reason why the Shichko-Bates vision restoration method is not known to the general public and has not become firmly established in the practice of treating eye diseases is ordinary laziness. To get a positive result, you need to practice daily and cultivate the habit of he althy vision.
About the Shichko Method
Gennady Andreyevich Shichko lived in Leningrad and developed his method of psychoanalysis back in those days when the word itself was considered abusive. As a result, the method of hartonomic dealcoholism was born. Shichko began to conduct classes, helping people get rid of alcohol, nicotine and drug addiction. Around this outstanding person, a kind of club was formed, called "Optimalist". In our time, the movement has become widespread. The three golden commandments of G. A. Shichko became the motto of the club. They say:
- Hurry to do good.
- Came out on my own - help someone else.
- If not me, then who?
VG Zhdanov uses many psychological techniques from the Shichko method in his classes. The restoration of vision becomes a side effect of a change in attitude towards oneself and the world around.
What is the danger of poor vision and what harm do glasses do
In the series of lectures "Restoration of vision according to the Zhdanov method" it is noted that poor vision is dangerous to he alth for the following reasons.
- With myopia, the eye has an elongated shape. The retina is in a taut position, and the greater the degree of myopia, the greater the likelihood of retinal detachment during physical exertion. For this reason, children with myopia are not taken to sports sections, and women with visual acuity of -7 cannot give birth naturally.
- With poor vision, the muscles of the eyeball are tenseand worse blood supply. The blood circulation of all structures of the eye is disturbed, hence the occurrence of many diseases, primarily glaucoma and cataracts.
Glasses harm any eye.
- The eyeball when wearing glasses is almost motionless, because in order to examine an object, a person turns his head. Muscles weaken with all the ensuing consequences.
- Refractive errors of the eye are intermittent, especially in children. They change during the day, from fatigue, psychological mood, the object that a person is looking at, and so on. Wearing glasses, we deprive the eyes of the opportunity to return to the optimal state. As a result, visual impairment progresses and the patient requires lenses with higher diopters.
Eye exercises
According to Professor Zhdanov, restoration of vision is possible at any age. An example is academician F. G. Uglov, who got rid of farsightedness in three weeks after 50 years of wearing glasses. Restoring vision according to the Zhdanov method is not only a set of exercises, but also daily eye care, even after recovery.
Eye hygiene according to Zhdanov
Caring for he althy eyes comes down to three rules.
- Tired - rest! If your eyes get tired, take a break and palm for 5 minutes.
- Do exercises for the eye muscles three times a day before meals.
- Never wear glasses or contact lenses. Glasses are shackles for the eyes. Use sunglasses only forextreme cases. Remember that light is food for the visual apparatus.
To improve vision
According to Zhdanov, the restoration of vision is based on two methods: relaxation and strengthening of the eye muscles. There are also exercises that allow the eye to "saturate" the light.
- Palming. Literally can be translated from English as "cold". Close your eyes with your palms so that the eyelids can move freely under them. The palms themselves are crossed at the fingers and form an inverted "V". Do palming at the beginning and end of each session, and as your eyes get tired. Time is unlimited, but the longer the better. Minimum 5 minutes.
- Gymnastics for the eyes. Move your eyes 8-10 times in directions: up-down, right-left, draw a square, a figure eight and a circle in both directions. After gymnastics, blink lightly, relieving tension.
- Turns. Performed by the window or with a candle. Stand straight, feet shoulder width apart. Look ahead of you as if into the distance. Make turns to the right and left, smoothly, slightly lifting the heel off the floor. Notice that a candle or a window floats past you. The eyes are relaxed, the gaze is straight ahead. Do 30-50 times.
- Exercise with a candle: turning only the head or the whole body, as described above. According to Zhdanov, lectures on restoring vision demonstrate an improvement in visual acuity in the dark after exercising with a candle.
- Solarization: sun treatment. Stand in the sun (you can not do the exercise innoon with too bright sun), close your eyes and rotate 20-30 times. Then close one eye with your palm, open the other and look down. This is how 20-30 turns are performed, then the eyes are changed, then both eyes are opened. The last turns are performed, looking straight ahead, the face is exposed to the sun. At the same time, they blink quickly, one eye is covered with a palm. As you get used to the eyes, the sun is performed with both eyes. There should be no discomfort, first it is better to do the exercises at dawn or at sunset. In the absence of the sun, solarization of the eyes can be performed on a candle or lamp.
- Remembrance as an eye aid: Resurrect a pleasant memory while palming. A representation of black is also useful, such as black velvet.
- Central fixation. The normal eye sees clearly only a point in the center of the visual field. An unhe althy eye tries to see the entire field equally clearly, hence tension arises. To relax the eyes, perform an exercise in awareness of the central fixation. Work with a checklist. First, they fix their eyes on the wall, then they look away, relax by blinking. They fix their gaze again, already on the table, then again take it away. Then they fix it on a line, then on a word, then on a separate letter, then on any part of this letter. Every time they try to notice that the fixation point is visible better than the area around it.
According to Vladimir Zhdanov, the restoration of vision can be accelerated using "pirate" glasses. Takeordinary glasses, remove the glasses and build a protective "screen" on one eye. With such glasses, you can, for example, watch TV for 10-15 minutes with each eye.
General wellness
Zhdanov's method of restoring vision implies a general improvement of the body. In his lectures, Vladimir Georgievich draws attention to the following aspects.
- Getting rid of alcohol and tobacco addiction.
- Cleansing the body through complete fasting, observing Orthodox fasts (according to the method of Porfiry Ivanov).
- Finding peace of mind. Particular attention is paid to the seven deadly sins and the cultivation of the opposite virtues.
If you wear glasses, Zhdanov's vision restoration technique will help you get rid of them forever. If you do not experience eye problems, the simple exercises outlined in the first lecture will allow you to enjoy this state of affairs until old age.
