To eliminate such dental diseases as caries, teeth are cleaned and filled. There is a concept in dentistry of "temporary filling", which is installed only for the duration of treatment and diagnosis. To create it, you need a special material. It should be:

  • quick to install and uninstall;
  • ensure a good grip on the tooth so that foreign particles or saliva do not get inside;
  • be strong so as not to break while chewing food;
  • low cost.

One of the most popular temporary materials for such a filling is "Dentine-paste".

Features

The main feature of "Dentin-paste" is its disinfecting effect. Dentists choose this material also for its other characteristics:

  • Dentine Paste is easy to use.
  • No mixing required, ready to use.
  • This is a fairly durable material - it can even be applied for up to 14 days.
  • The preparation hardens under the influence of moisture. This happens after 2 hours.
  • The material hermetically closes the tooth cavity.
  • "Dentine-paste" does not dissolve over time.
  • Allthe necessary manufacturability is present in this material.
  • The drug protects the tooth from staining. This is especially important if filling is done with amalgams.

This temporary filling material comes in the form of a fairly dense and thick mass. A preparation based on zinc sulfate cement is being prepared. To give the appropriate consistency, a paste-forming agent is added to it. As additional ingredients, the composition of the product includes fragrances and dyes.

Thanks to additional additives, the drug is now available in several versions:

  • odorless;
  • cherry flavored;
  • with mint scent;
  • clove;
  • strawberry.

"Dentine-paste": instructions

Before using the drug, every dentist should read the instructions for use. Temporary material "Dentin-paste" should be applied with a special trowel. This is done after the tooth cavity has been prepared. It must be cleaned of carious formations, and then dried thoroughly. The paste layer should not exceed 1-2 mm.

Material hardens within 2 hours. During this time, the patient should not take any food. Otherwise, there is a possibility thatthe temporary filling will fail.

"Dentin-paste" is easily removed from the tooth cavity. This will require either a probe or a dental excavator. It is enough to pick up the filling with a smooth lever-like movement, and it will easily move away from the dental tissue.

After the application of the paste is completed, carefully close the jar with the preparation with a lid. This will protect the contents from moisture getting inside. Accordingly, the paste will not harden and will last a long time.

"Dentin-paste" is produced in containers of 50 grams. For the treatment of one tooth, no more than 0.5 grams of the product is required. Thus, one jar is enough to form approximately 100 temporary fillings.
