Ointment "Nicoflex" is a combination drug with vasodilating, analgesic, distracting, warming, anti-inflammatory and resolving properties. This remedy is based on irritation of skin receptors and stimulation of reflex reactions (hyperthermia and hyperemia). The mechanism of action of such a drug as Nikoflex ointment is directly due to the activation of the formation and release of enkephalins and endorphins, the relief of pain symptoms in areas of inflammation. In addition, this vasodilator increases vascular permeability, improves blood supply directly to the lesions, thereby enhancing the so-called local microcirculation. As for the therapeutic effect of the drug "Nicoflex", it develops quite quickly and is noted for about one hour.
This vasodilator contains natural capsaicin as main ingredients,ethylene glycol salicylate and ethyl nicotinate. The presence of these substances provides a pronounced anti-inflammatory, analgesic and absorbable effect. As additional elements, Nicoflex ointment contains lavender oil, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium lauryl sulfate, cetyl stearyl loctanoate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, white petrolatum, 96% ethanol, purified water and liquid paraffin.
If we talk about the scope of this anesthetic drug, then most often it is used for various diseases of the muscles and joints. For example, the instruction recommends using Nikoflex ointment for myalgia, spondylarthrosis, sprains, arthritis and arthrosis. Bruises, tendovaginitis and sciatica are also included in the list of indications for the appointment. In addition, this remedy should be used for polyarthritis. To stop painful conditions with neuritis or neuralgia, it is also recommended to rub the Nikoflex preparation into the skin. The instructions for use of the ointment also advise using it as an aid for warming up the muscles before training.
This remedy is strictly not recommended for people with acute inflammation and an allergic reaction to any of its components. Pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children under six years of age should also not use Nicoflex ointment. With great care, this analgesic drug is prescribed to patients with a diagnosis of"aspirin" bronchial asthma.
